The latter began slowly, but saved MiJch ground on the turns and. being kept in the best going, finished fast and gamely. RLLK BIRD also saved much ground on the turns and was running gamely at the end. EEKL FOOT set the early pace, bat was ridden with bad judgment and in the worst going. RUPEE was always outrun, but finished well. SMART GUY was racing forwardly when his rider, without apparent cause, took him back, but he came fast when called on and finished gamely. PRIDE OF I.NDIA tired. EAGAZZA set the early pace, but quit in the stretch. HUTCHISON tired in the last eighth. REGAL LODGE had no mishaps.
