June 26-The Peoria Jo key Club announced today that the recently announced meeting of fifteen days. I egintLng July 1 and continuing to July 17. will certainly take place, all of the purse money being guaranteed and placed in responsible hands. The Fair Grounds, where the racing will be held, is a mile track, safe and fast, comparing favorably with many of the best running courses in the Middle West. The plant itself has been refurbished and presents an inviting appearance. There are now about one hundred and fifty horses on the grounds and the mangement expects to have about three hundred when the meeting opens. John Kandis is the general manager and Wm. J. DMeara, resident manager, while Cliff Trimble, the general manager at Aurora. is acting in an advisory capacity. The officials will include Charles Henry and Dr. Ashe as stewards. B. A. Leigh and Francis Dunne, placing judges ; Barry Morrissey. starter; Wm. Martin, patrol judge: Wm. Doyle, paddock judge, while Charles Henry, in addition to acting as steward, will likewise be racing secretary. The management announce plenty of stalls and invite horsemen to join them in providing good sport for this community • *
