CONN AUGHT S MEETING BALTIMORE. Md . May 10-Tommy Herman, secretary of the Connaught Iark Jockey Club, was an ;irrival from Ottawa. He reports much local interest in the spring meeting and predicts that it will lie the most successful one in the history .if the club. There are several reasons for thi*. according to secretary lornian : the principal one of which is the i ig improvement in business conditions in Canada. He re| orts that he has already received several applications for stalls from horsemen racing at Aurora. Mr. Ciorman will remain here for several days. He wishes to emphasize the fact that the Connaught Park Jockey Club is still owned and controlled by citizens of ttawa. The only new interest in the dull is the stock acquired by J. McEntee How man. president of the Hunts Club in New York, and one of the moving spirits in the Ha:iiia Jockt y *lub. Senator Bellcourt is still president of the Connaught Iark Jockey Club and there has been no change whatsoever in the personnel of the directors.
