GOVERNMENT SALIVA TESTS All Samples Taken at Alamo Downs to Be Turned Over to Federal Officials. SAN ANTONIO, Texas, April 24. Charles F. Henry, director of racing and presiding steward at Alamo Downs," in his effort to avoid stimulation of horses during the spring meeting, this morning announced that through authority of the Texas Racing Commission and the narcotic decision of the, federal government, saliva tests taken at Alamo Downs will be turned over to the federal government for chemical analysis, and in case of positive verdict, the offender would be suspended from Alamo Downs and his case referred to the Texas racing commission. It is Henrys understanding that the federal authorities will pursue the cases and attempt to find the source of the stimulants. The saliva tests will be taken by Dr. R. L. Rhea in the -presence of the Texas racing commissions representative, Cheatham Parke. Mr. Henry has authority from Washington to make this announcement.
