The latter, a prominent factor from the start, had no mishaps. QCONSET, from a slow start, finished well. ALBATROSS was taken back under restraint in the first part and then could not menace the leaders. ARMY POWKR made up some ground. ORAN was outrun. CUANDO had a flash of early speed.
