Sanford, Stribling and Bury Hamilton, Ohio, Stewards HAMILTON, Ohio, June 11.— Tom San- | ford, of Covington, Ky., E. W. Gene" Bury ! of Cincinnati and E. W. Ted- Stribling of Columbus will serve as stewards of the | meeting of running races opening at the i Butler County Fair Grounds here Saturday, June 23. President and general manager D. E. I Cronin today announced that Sanford, | Bury and Stribling have been appointed for the 19-day session. All three are prominent officials. Sanford, himself, is a former horseman. Bury, , in addition to his duties as a steward, will j double as racing secretary, a position he i holds at Beulah Park, Oaklawn Park, Ascot j Park and Fort Miami. Stribling is well-known not only in thoroughbred racing cir cles but also as a judge in harness racing and the horse show game. The first edition of Burys condition book has already made its appearance. Top-lining the opening day card on June 23 is the running of the Inaugural Handicap at the distance of six and one-half furlongs and for a purse of ,000. The minimum purse during the meeting will be 00.
