June 11.— Eddie iel Arcaro. back from his third Kentucky y Derby score said: T still dont know how good Hope Jr. is. He may be a real good I horse. There never was time when he ie wasnt in complete command of the situa- tion. and he was only airing at the end d like a colt that could go two miles. There j certainly isnt any reason why. on what he te ! showed me. he wouldnt like the mile and d I a half of the Belmont Stakes. Arcaro is again in the same position as is he was a week ago. so far as Preakness and Belmont mounts are concerned. Not I only has Greentree its own Preakness can- didate. but Devil Diver will probably be j after the 0,000 added fifty-ninth Subur- r- j ban here at Belmont on the same day. The ie j Suburban is one of the few important it stake races of this country which has never been accounted for by a Greentree :e performer. It was on the morning of last st years running that Devil Diver fell lame ie and was later withdrawn.
