WONDER WITCH sprinted into command with a rush, was shaken up after reaching the stretch, veered out when nearing the last eighth and continued well when straightened. MIGHTY TOlGH offered the chief contention throughout and held on well. FORELADY had no mishaps. GENERAL GEMS bore in through the late staees. LITTLE THRILL, outrun from the start, was blocked by GENERAL GEMS just inside the last eighth. BEN ROSE delayed the start. TASK FORCE, tinder vigorous riding from the start, swung to the outside on the turn, wore down the leaders under increased pressure and was ridden out. RAG TIME BABY forced the early pace under light restraint, got to the front under pressure ;-.nd held on well, although no match for the winner. RAINIS displayed the most speed from the start, but tired in the closing three-sixteenths. BEA L. also gave way badly after reaching the stretch. WHISTLING EB never threatened. DONS COUNT, away fastest. opened up a clear advantage in the first eighth, was steadied to the stretch and continuing well, held IRON BARGE safe. The latter, well up from the start, was under pressure the last quarter and held on with determination. RED SPIRIT tired in the drive but outstayed the others. ROYAL CANADIAN was unable lo keep up. UMBRIAGO. unable to keep up on the stretch turn and kept on the inside throughout, moved up gradually in the drive and won under good urging. COMMISERATION took command quickly, held sway under good rating, but tired and could not withstand the winner. AL-TRAM raced wide on the turn, went to the inside entering the stretch, came out in the last eighth and finished gamely. DREAM-LITE had speed, but was tiring when impeded by AL-TRAM entering the last eighth. TRAYEL, taken out on the turn, was unable to improve his position. Claimed — Commiseration by Rivermont Ranch. The latter, well up from the start and raced wide, gave way suddenly after reaching the stretch, but came again and outtinished DRAWBY. The latter made a bid on the inside alter reaching the last quarter and was tiring when he stumbled near the finish. BRIGHT TRACE could not get up.
