Won easing up; second, third and mm fourth were driving and staggeriug. Edith Q. had a great advantage ovr the others and had no trouble in winning Hold Badge, after having an easy race the first time around, repeated finely, and ran •i good game race. The game way in which luvictus came back after having a bruising race in the false lireak was surprising. Fridolin also displayed staying qualities and was under terrific uuuislimeut from Hag fall to finish. Rio de Altar showed a lot of speed, but was staggering at the end Ksther Kiggs started through on the inside on the far turn, but was sharply interfered with and almost fell. This ruined whatever chance she had. Sarner was beaten off all the way. Pie t rack flagman made a mistake and swished his flag, leading all the boys with the exception of L Ho«e who rode Edith Q., and W. Wilson, who rode Esther Riggs, to believe it was a start. Starter Holtman. however, did not drop his flag, and under the rule the horses were called back •igaiu and ran the race over. Rio de Altar beat Invictus by a neck in the false break and the others finished as follows: Fridolin. Alene Abbott. Floranthe, Sarner, Gold Badge, Anxious. Audie Dr Bob Edith Q. and Esther Riggs being left at the post. Invictus led all the way and he and Rio de ltar had a battle royal at the end. Sarner was prominent in the first half, but tired badly. Gold Badge showed no speed and ran a dull race. Fridolin was under punishment all the way and made a fine showing, finishing strongly. Scratched— 19449 : Jiminez, 118. I adv Britannic was right there all the way and ran a cracking good race. Tildy Ann suffered from Door handling. Kosa Diah ran a good race. Lamity showed a flash of early speed.
