Dandy Jim was well ridden and had no mishaps beyona a Blight interference at the three-eighths. Hengist ran a great race from a bad beginning and from a position six lengths behind the Held to thira place. He was perhaps best. Mona B. was hampered in the tangle at the start, but ran fast when she got free. Jake Weber, show, 7 to 5. Dandy Jim, show, out. Hengist, show, 3 to 1. Bue Johnson, show, 3 to 5. THIRD RACE 3-4 Mile. He was woefully ridden and in a bad pocket to the stretch. He was then taken around on the outside and swerved across the field to the rail, then straightened out and won. He is away the best two-year old seen here since OtiB left. Huntrtssa was well handled and did her best. Wakita showed speed, but she does not like weight. TabyTosa can do bat.er. Runnels fouled her in the stretch or she would have been third. Rose of Red showed speed to the stretch. Runnels, show, 1 to 2. Hnntresaa, show, 3 to 10. Jim Clark was much used at the post but ran a tremendous race. He ran Meddlesome into exhaustion then came on and won in a canter. He is probably the beat sprinter at the track. Verify ran a good race and finished strongly. Tall a Fonso spoiled several good breaks but ran well when she got away. Meddlesome was hurt by the delay at the post. Cyrano ran a poor race and seemed to sulk. Overweights Tulla Fonso, 2 pounds. Jim Clark, Bhow, out. Verify, show, 7 to 10. Tulla Fonso, show, 4 to. 5. Meddlesome, Bhow, out. Cyrano, show, out.
