Loves Labor found it a hard task to shake off Enghurst, bat did so in the stretch, when the latter swung wide. Enghurst about ran his race. Gates came with a rush through the stretch, but the early effort to get up to his field took too much out of him. Joe Collins was easily the best of the others.
