The Featherstone colt is a supposed good ono and Homestead is showing steady improvement. Pearl Finder was closing very fast at the end. Lux Casta had no chance with her jockey. Gay Boy was prominent in the stretch, but his weight stopped him in the last furlong. Otis is still palpably out of form. Sun Shower failed signally in the strntch and was under the whip early. Gold Heels was badly interfered with in the first quarter and after a rough passage camo faBt at the end. Herbert agafn broke bo slowly that he waB practically left in the first hundred yards, bnt made up an immense gap. Alard Scbeck is troubled with bad feet and the hard track iB against him but was going, as usual, strongly in the stretch.
