Lady Godiva, off badly and 3hntof and interfered withrepaatedlj. finished fast after having been on the rail throughout in the worst going. .Mint Bed ran prominently t the stretch where she tired and should improve. Vseuvia broke slowly, but ran around the field on both turns and finished with a fine burst of speed and was going strongest of all right at the end. Homestead appeared beaten on the stretch turn but csme again suddenly and running gamely under punishment wore down Camerons apparently winning lead. The favorite showed his usual brilliant speed and his collapse right at the rod was sudden and unexpected. Peninsula was running faster than the two leaders at tho finish and showed remarkable improvement. Dixie-lino was carried out on the turn by Homestead and Peninsula and failed signally in the stretch.
