Campbell saved ground by hogging the rail at the head of the stretch. He came strongly in tho last eighth, but was lucky to win as had L. JackBoa not allowed Lady Idris to swing wide at the stretch turn the latter would certainly have won. Lady Idris and he Butcher ran neck and neck aft.r the first qnarter had been run, but the former outgamed the latter in the closing BtrideB. Canova was light there all the way and finis tied stoutly. Coacoa awoke with a start from her last race, bhe was speeay fur four and a half funongs. but tired badly when tha pinch came. Emathion showed speed, but could not carry it far. Dick Fmber and Captain Conovor went down at the second jump and Saintly at the seventh. The three were remounted and went over the course, bnt Captain Conover, which finished second, was disqualified for not taking the course correctly.
