He lost ground on the Btretch turn and suffered from early interference. Carat was bumped into soon af tar the start and thrown out of his stride. Called Back got up in the final stride. After a stormy passage Maria Elena had clear sailing throughout and raced Zoraide into submission but tired badly at the end, Scratched -29021 Littlo Master, 104; 29000 Man, 104. Rabunta was hard ridden all the war and stood punishment gamely. Salinda finished strongly. Hindoonet came strongly from a bad beginning. Terra Firma sat a fast pace in the first part of the race, then appeared to be beaten in the stretch when challenged by Rubus, but under a hard drive came again. Rubus appeared like an easy winner in the laat sixteenth, but ONoil rode a weak finish. Taby Tosa was outrun in the early stages, but at the end came with a rnsb. Colonial Girl ran a good race. Byrne of Roscrea showed his usual early speed, but quit when challenged. Sambo is stale and requires a rest. Terra Firma. show, 6 to 5. Bubus. show, out. Taby Tosa, show, out. Dewey began slowly and waB in close quarters through the stretch and was generally badly messed about. Wine Press outgamed Bpry. The latter had bad racing luck and should have been closer up. Nearest, under good handling, ran well and outgamed Sard for second place. Sard ran well but was a triOa short. Bengal waB badly ridden and should have been much closer up. No one of the three came close to his mark. Charles D. ran well for a half, then came stoutly at the finish when it was too late. Aurea waB never a factor and Kuhn gave Marion Lynch a ride that would have beaten Volodyovsky. As a result Guide Rock was best of those doing their best and Delsarte next. Hardly flaBbod for a while and then took a back seat, Grey Forge was short. The race was taken under advisement by the judges for a thorough investigation.
