WEEDING-OUT SALE. A weeding-out sale of horses in training, the property of J. B. Haggin, the well known owner and breeder, took place Tuesday, July 1, in the Fasig-Tipton Companys paddocks at Sheepshead Bay. Of the sixty-nine catalogued, forty-five were offered and thirty-one sold, the others failing to bring about a bid. The horses that performed in public went for good amounts, with the three-year-old Bon Mot, a good performer this season, selling for the top figure, ,500. H. E. Rowell, a western owner, was the buyer. E. J. Arnold gave ,650 for the two-year-old Fitzbrillar and ,250 for the three-year-old Stranger. G. B.
