NOTES OF THE TURF. Saturday next the Fasig Tipton Co. will sell at the Brighton Beach Track the following horses belonging to John J. McCafferty: Sadducee, 5; Po-tente, 7; Feme Sole, 3; Bossignol. 3; Zemora, 5; Prince Bichard, 5 ; Joe Cobb, 2. All are good performers and would do well on Chicago tracks. The good filly Sparkle Esher, 2, and other thoroughbreds will be disposed of at the same sale. ,John E. Madden has given up all hopes of training Saratoga Belle, the daughter of Henry of Navarre Sallie McClelland, and has ordered her shipped to Hamburg Place, where she will be bred ext spring to the Futurity winner, Ogden. Madden paid ,000 for the filly last season as a yearling and she was thonght this spring to be one of the sensations of his two-year-old division. Sydney Paget will have a big stable of two-year-olds next year, having bought heavily in the series of sales of yearlings conducted recently by the Fasig-Tipton Co. John J. McCafferty has been engaged at a high salary to train them and as a part of the contract will sell all of his own horses so that he can devote himself exclusively to the devol-of his employers costly collection of youngsters.
