Deerhunter was well handled and closed strongly. Helen Hay was weakly ridden and crossed Sailors Dream, Quistor and Seize in the stretch. Two Lick ran a bad race though woll ridden. Qaistor was closing very fast when Rolen Hay throw him to his kness. ONeil nearly went ovor his head but reseated himself and the horse came again. He was probably best. Seize was short of work. Ransom saved ground turning for homo and finished with a tremendous rush. Wiedemann was weakly ridden and in close quarters all through the stretch. He was pi obably best as it was run. Miss Guido ran a good race and might have won with a little assistance from her jockey. Lenox had speed but is a little short. El Glior closed fast. The Messenger ran a good race and was right there at the end. Overweights Ransom. 5 pounds; El Ghor, 2; The Messenger, 3. Ransom, show. 2 to 1. Wiedemann, show. 7 to 5. Miss Guido, show, 8 to 5.
