NOTES OF THE TURF. Tho Double Event winner, Elkhorn, by Bolvidore ElkhornLass, has arrived at Lexington from Liverpool and will be placed in tho stud of E. L. Davis in Woodford county. Elkhorn raced in the colors of W. C. Whitney both in this country and abroad. Ho was purchased recently from Mr. Whitney by the man who bred him, James Galway, of Preak-noss Stud. -Mr. T. H. Stevens, Walnut Hill Stud, Lexington, Ky., has on his farm three mares, sisters to Derby-winners, namely, sister to Buckwa, winner of the Crescent City Dorby; sister to Princo McClurg, S Louis Derby, and sister to Wyeth, American Dorlfl Trainer Wimmor is getting Hyphen in shaH again. The son of Himyar is boing pointed for tlfl Brighton Dorby on August 2, in which ho will mftfl Old England and Major Daingerfield. WM Subscriber, Chicago.
