The latter lost four lengths through the interference, but was fast overhauling the winner at the end and was best. Redpath set a fast pace and sustained his superior speed unexpectedly well Swiftmas was closing up fast at the end and was evidently handicapped by the slightly cuppy going Huntressa was probably outclassed. Forward went wide on the turn and came strongly in the last furlong and out-gamed Muzio. The latter took a commanding lead after going half the journey and appeared a sure but tired unexpectedly right at the and winner, end, OConnor, taking matters too easy, was unprepared for the final drive which ensued. Mamselle held on well throughout. Mackey Dwyer auit after going the first three furlongs, evidently due to the cuppy going.
