THIS WEEKS RACING. During the second week of its midsummer meeting the Chicago Jockey Club, now racing at the Harlem track, will distribute among successful owners 1,200 in added money alone. Three stakes are to be decided, as follows : The Emerald Handicap, short course steeplechase, ,000 added; the Test Stakes, for two-year-olds, ,000 added, five and one-half furlongs, and the Superior Handicap, for three-year-olds and upward, at one and one-half miles, with ,500 added. The last-named stake will be run Saturday. Among the well-known performers with a liking for distance eligible to start in this event are Aladdin, Little Scout, Frangible, Argregor. Odnor, Scintillant II. , Fancy Man, Artena, Wyeth, Flying Torpedo, Lucien Appleby, McChes-ney, Hernando and Six Shooter. This list includes the winners of the American Derby, the Young Handicap and the Wheeler Handicap at Washington Park. Last week, on days when the weather and track were good, the racing at Harlem was of excellent quality and the crowds the largest the Chicago Jockey Club has ever entertained. With favorable conditions this should be a banner week in the history of the club.
