Rosetint received a lucky start, forced the pace throughout and held on well in a hard final drive. Stamping Ground was skillfully handled, stuck to her work gamely and was prominent all the way. Miladi Love was crowded and fell back a furlong out and was poorly handled, but came again fast right at the end and was second best. Birch Broom broke slowly but closed a big gap in the last half and finished fast. Pearl Diver was in close quarters to the stretch where, with clear sailing, she moved up fast. Lady Josephine broke flatfooted, was badly messed about and was up in the air a half dozen times in the first half. Her final effort, however, failed to make a good impression. Rising Sun, skillfully ridden and lucky and with the best of the weights, was reserved for the final stretch sprint and made good. Inspector Stevens was best and but for a costly mishap over the water jump would have won. Kufa is of moderate caliber, but is in good form. Victor closed up well in the last half. Collegian ran under a choking pull for the first mile and a quarter and will improve. Tentore held sway for half the journey and showed well as a jumper. Scratched 33377 Festive, 139.
