LEtrenne showed much speed, but was tiring fast at the end. Carl Kahler appeared for a moment in the last fifty yards as if he had the winner beaten, but hung palpably. Gonfalon was well spent in the last sixteenth and just lasted long enough to outstay Constellator in the last sixteenth for third place. The latter finished stoutly, Duelist was thoroughly beaten turning for home. Andes showed early speed. Lampoon was well spent after running well up for four and a half furlongs. She runs to her best form on a muddy or soft track. Lady Matchless showed early speed. Corrected weights Almaric, 95. Matin Bell was hopelessly cut out of position at the first turn where there was much bumping, Henry of Trastamare being almost thrown to his knees. Chiquasabog showed early speed.
