Brigadier was much used in the breakaways and delay at th post and did not show his usual burst of early speed, but his lontr stride told and he wore Mabel Win: down in the first quarter and was never in danger, though Hoar bluffed at riding while coming dow the stretch. The horse looked ragged and did not run a bright race. Mabln Winn showed speed, bu Beauchamp did not use all her power at any part of it. She could not have won and was an easy aoconc Bummer ran the best race of the seeond division. Father Wentker acted sourly and is possibly stalt Miller, on Stuyve, let Mable Winn run for the entry. Icicle showe a tromendous turn of speed, and as there was no one to contest the early pace with him ran an extr good race, but was driving to the limit to stall off Lunar at the end. Lu-jar, wol handled, ran a bri Rant race and would probably have won had Dot Uattisto closed in on her with Icicle and pinched ht sharply. Captain Gaines ran a good race and finished with a rush.
