Allopath outclassed the company and ran unextended all the way. Little Rock, lucky at the start, paced the field steadily for the first half, but was unequal to the task of beating the winner, although much the best of the others. Lizzie Loy ran to her best form. John Coulter ran to his best form, showed the -most early speed and ran well in hand the entiro way, winning with a lot in reserve. Lansdown and Extol fought it out and were both under keen pressure through the last quarter, th8 former proving best. The lattor was slightly impeded in the run home, but not sufficient to make any difference in the result. Tommy Knight ran his race. President was away poorly and seemingly lacked speed. Arius .showed the most speed on the flat and was drawing steadily away from Sir Ellerslie. The latter ran in improved form. Lord Farandole was just beginning to make his run and yrands going strongly when ha fell. He and McManus bumped each other while negotiating the seventh obstacle and this caused them to go down. The 1 tter was tiring from her early effort and was weakly ridden at the finish Albula showed signs of quitting in the stretch, but came again under punishment. Georgia Gardner was lucky at the start, set h fast pace for the first mile, but was well speiit after that and finished third on her own courage. Baffled ran well for a mile only. Mexicana was off in a tangle, but came strongly when fully in her stride and finished fast. Lulu Glaser had no mishaps. Lady Gallantry quit badly and was eased up in the last eighth. Lome, show, out.
