Early Eve was crowded back when rounding the far turn, but shot through when she found an opening and came with a rush at the end, caught Delmarch tiring and got up in the last stride. Delmarch saved ground at every turn, seemed like a wiuner at the furlong post, but tired when the pinch came. Khaki was cut off several times and had a rough trip. Escalante was interfered with all the way. John Hughes and Shepherd showed early speed, but quit badly. The latter finished faat and wou d have won in another stride. Her Letter was tiring after showing much early speed. First Chord was in a pocket all through the last sixteenth. Autolight was crowded back at the first turn and had to go all around the leaders to get up, bnt went to the front without much effort and had a lot in reserve at the finish. Adams made his run too soon with Barouche and she tired. Janice was always outrun and had no mishaps. Bill Massie was crowded back at the start and had to bump his way through at the first turn, He was also cut off and almost went to his knees at the far turn. Homestead was used up in making the pace and tired at the finish. He made a wide turn when entering the stretch and carried Jordan with him. Dubious finished strongly and would have been second in another stride. Circus made up a lot of ground in the last eighth and was wearing the leaders down at the end. The latter ran in much improved form and Robertson bustled him along all the way. June Collins showed the most early speed, but quit when challenged. Use . mot with a lot of interference.
