LOCAL TURF GOSSIP. Jockey Buchanan has been set down for ten days by Judge Trevelyan for his constant breaking through the barrier in the first race on Evening Star, and in the fourth race on Lucien Appleby.- Form, which fell in the third race, was clear of the field when the accident happened, and it is stated was not interfered with by any other horse in the race. Jockey F. Bistle who rode her was uninjured beyond a slight shaking up. John S. Campbell, in shipping his string from Butte, Montana, to Chicago, met with an accident, in which most of his horses were injured. One filly in the string. Lady Superba, had one of her legs cut off and had to be destroyed. Judge Trevelyan stated he would recognize the ruling of the eastern Jockey Club in regard to the suspension of jockeys Burns and Bullman, and would not let them ride here until the suspension was lifted. Jockey Cay wood has arrived in town from the i country, where he has been spending several weeks , and will, accept mounts at the local tracks. Cay-wood can ride at 117 pounds. Flying Torpedos entry will bo refused In future . by the Hawthorne officials for inconsistent running.
