Luna Minor was well ridden, always a contender, ran away from the others in the stretch and was best in the going. Yarner did his best and ran to the mark. Belle Simpson, very badly handled, closed up fast in the stretch and would have been second in a few more yards. One More tired, Margie S. showed early speed. The Mormon, badly away, ran a good race. Frank Bell was well rated behind the pacemakers, came fast around the stretch turn, ran gamely when challenged and was more than holding his own at the end. Lady Strathmorn was out of her stride all the way to the stretch, then came fast, but tired in the closing strides. Buccleuth made a fast move around the upper turn and seemed like a winner to the last hundred yards, but quit in the pinch under a very weak ride. Miss Golightly showed speed, but tired badly. Lenja was very poorly handled, swung wide into the stretch and was given a weak finish. She was probably best. Donator improved suddenly and ran a good race. Tulare ran to the mark. Assessment ran a bad race. Marion Lynch will do bettor. She was given a very easy ride. Tenny Belles race was too bad to be true. Scratched 35306 Swordsman, 107; 35348 Saragamp. 101. Josie F. showed improvement and ran a good race on a track that was not suited to her. Menace ran a dull race, in marked contrast to her last race, when she performed brilliantly.
