She shook off Lady Kent at the half mile ground and from thereon had things all her own way. Ladv Kent was easily the best of the others, but could not concede the weight to Arachne. Nat Goodwin tired from chasing the leader and was quitting at the finish. The others were always outrun. Oconee got in motion slowly and could, not improve her position. Oro Viva carried Bonnie Burr very wide when coming into a the homestretch and seriously interfered with the lat-ters chances. The pair fought it out and Oro Viva lasted just long enough to win. With better racing luck Bonnie Burr would have been first. He was catching the winner at every stride at the end. AU-hallowmas began slowly, then closed a tig gap, saved ground when turning for home und finished strongly. Artist and Sly Boots tired and were quitting in the run borne. Sauber was passing tired horsos in the stretch and thus got third place. Cubanite stumbled repeatedly while going through the field. Uncle John J. was green and needs more schooling. Petit Bleu showed the most early speed, but tired from setting the pace. Night Owl appeared to be catchiDg her in the last sixteenth, but tired at the finish.
