Bonnibertis in great form, gradually improved his position in the best eoing, came through on the stretch turn and closed up very strongly and caught Fire Eater tiring and swerving badly at the end. The latter was possibly best, bnt was excessively urged in the first half, in which bo displayed remarkable speed. St. Finnan liked the cuppy going and just lasted long enough to beat Young Henry. The latter put up a great stretch run. Belle of Lexington tired and quit after racing on the far turn with Fire Eater. The Musketeer has become uncertain, and being overweighted was never dangerous. Whiskey King is in bad form and a sulker. Scratched 35931Unmasked, 123; 35926Clorita, 114; 35886Do Reszke, 108; 35S862G. Cinquevalli, always prominent, fell away when turning into the stretch, bnt came again with a rush on the outside in good going and won drawing away. VVax Candle forced the pace and appeared a sure winner almost throughout, but lost many lengths when he bolted on the stretch turn and was best. Florham Queen closed a big gap and finished fast. Sparkle Esher fell away at the end after being forced into deep going. She seemed sure of second place when a sixteenth out. Gimcrack tired at the end. Boutonniere, away slowly, made up much ground and was going strongly at tho end. The others were outclassed.
