The Conqueror II. ran to his best form. He was admirably ridden, Coburn making his run at exactly tho right time, the horse, outgaming Waswift in the closing strides under a vigorous ride. Waswift showed much speed, but tired just a trifle in the closing strides. Pink Coat ran one of his old time races. He was many lengths back at thevstart, but made up ground fast while going down the backstretch. This took all the vigor out of him and he had little left to finish with. Ethylene ran slightly below her best form. Nitrate ceased to be a serious contender after six furlongs had been run. He was worked out an extra seven furlongs after passing the wire. Hayward Hunter came with a rush at the end, just getting up in time to win on the post. WiDg Dance was tho best of the others, finishing strongly. Jack Doyle stood a long stretch drive with gamoness and finished resolutely. He bumped and fouled Edith Q, and Vincitor at tho last sixteenth post, for which he was promptly disqualified, Vincitor being placed third. The last named showed much improvement and bears watching from now on. Blessed Damozel showed mnch peed, but tired fast after turning for home. The same may be said of Do Madge. Edith Q. was running strongly at the time of tho fouling and would have been a keen contender at the finish but for the interference.
