GOSSIP OF THE TURF. Little Rock is not likely to be abandoned as a racing point this spring. C. A. Tillos, manager of the Arknsas Jockey Club, which controls racing at Little Rock, announced recently that unless permission waB granted by the Little Rock City Council for poolrooms that future race meetings would ba abandoned. Thursday morning S. M. Apperson, former associate steward at Washington Park, stated that in the event that tho present management of Clinton Park wanted to abandon racing in Littlo Rock ho would form a stock company with plenty of financial backing to conduct regular meetings each spring under the Western Jockey Club.
