Fleuron showed the most speed throughout and raced Waninta to defeat in the first half, but was doing her best all through the last furlong to stall off The Light. The latter ran well, but tired when the pinch came. Georgia Gardner finished strongly. Waninta was eaBed up when beaten. Hie Away was in a pocket all the way. Scratched 36106 Baleler, 97. Silk Cord showed surprising speed throughout and made a how of his field. He ran in mnch improved form and his speed returned suddenly. Scortic finished very strongly, caught Quid Rock tiring at the end and outgamed him when it came to a drive. Guide Rock ran a good race. There was a jam at the start, caused by Locust Blossom, which swerved across her field, Flop, Trocadero and Frank Mc were shut off and had to pull up. Oleflantran to her best form, fought it out gamely all through the last quarter with St. Minor and Jack Battlin and finished strongly. St. Minor was bumped into at the furlong post by Jack Rattlin and swerved over into deep going next c the inside rail. He might have won but for this. The weight told on Jack Rattlin in the last sixteenth and he tired when strongly called on. Stunts, Kirklevington and Gus Burkley were as good as left at the post. Little Boy was at home in the going, ran a good race, stood off challenges from Imm rtelle and Miss Gould in the first three-quarters and had enough left to stall off Mr. Farnum in the stretch run. Daly outrode Bonner when it came -to a drive, and with riders reversed Mr. Farnum would have won. He ran well and finished fast Kilmorie was tiring badly at the end. Rosanco closed a big gap.
