Florinel forced the pace throughout, cime away in the stretch without urging and is an improved horse. Jim Gore II., skillfully ridden and lucky, finished well. Mocorito bad scant chance with a bad rider and was swerving into the rail in the last furlong. Loyal S., under pressure throughout and always outrun, favors a slow track. Our Pride finished strongly. Ball Room Belle is a quick breaker, indulged Byronerdale with the Jead to the last sixteenth, where she drew out "with plenty in reserve and won under restraint. Byronerdale displayed useful spoed and stamina and seemed to be greatly improved. Qaatre was an easy third throughout. Tho others are very ordinary,, Donami was only half fit and will improve. Ranch rode a confident race onFrank Woods and the horse cantered into the lead when a furlong out and won hard held. He far outclassed the field and can beat much better horses. Antolea took a long lead on the far turn and held on well. Urchin is best in mud, but closed up strongly at the end. Tizona, evidently short, went a good half and tired. Lode Star is a greatly improved horse, raced into the lead on the first turn, soon securing a long and winning lead and finished easing up through the last quarter and was much the best. Expedient trailed to the far turn, where he moved up fast and ran the best race of his career. Illowaho was outrun and under pressure throughout and tired in the last furlonc. El Pilar was outclassed and failed to stay after being prominent for six f oxloogs. Rosarie ran well for five furlongs. Lode Star, show, oat. Expedient, show, 6 to 5. Irene Lindsey got away badly, bat gradually worked her way through the field to the stretch, where she put up a remarkable stretch run, caught the pacemakers tiring and won going away. Money Muss ran an unexpectedly game race, forced tho pace throughout and was weakly ridden at the finish. The Pride, off in his strid, ran under a chokinc pull to tke stretch turn, where he tried to bear out and unexpectedly failed to 6tay in the final drive. He is evidently still short, as he tired very badly at the end. Mee-hanus was always prominent and finished strongly. Eaherin, under a vigorous ride, maintained a prominent position from the start and closed up strongly at the end. Leader fell away on the turn and can do better, bat probably favors mud.
