KINLOCH3 AFFAIRS. "The story of the reorganization of Kinloch,r said Joseph A. Murphy, general manager of that race track, "has only been half told. The semiannual rent was dus February 1, and as the Kin-loch Jockey Club was insolvent there were no funds to meet it. The lease called for forfeiture, with no time clause in the event that the rent was not paid, and the owner, having made formal demand for it twice in vain, declared the lease forfeited. "On Saturday, February 7, I went to the owner, taking a justice of the peace to certify the papers, and secured a lease with an option of purchase on the property running until 1910. "I hold in trust 440 shares of the Kinloch Jockey Club. Sippy holds the other sixty shares. "In consideration of the transfer of the lease and option to the Florissant Valley Jocky Club, I am to receive 220 shares of stock, which I will prorate among the stockholders of the Kinloch Jockey Club according to their holdings. "On Monday, February 9, the Board of Directors of the Kinloch Jockey Club met and decided that, inasmuch as the lease had been forfeited, the fixtures and racing dates were all the assets left to reimburse Chew and Lucas for the deed of trust held on the property. They, therefore, transferred all the fixtures and the racing dates to Chew and Lucas, who in time transferred them to the Florissant Valley Jockey Club. A meeting of the stockholders will be called in a few days probably to vacate the charter of the Kinloch Jockey Club. There will, therefore, not bs much to sell on February 28. "We have no fear of the Western Jockey Club, a it will accord ns fair treatment. Our stake boolc and purse list will be out on Friday at the latest, and the list of officials will be complete before the March meeting of the stewards. The latter will, recognize that we mean to race in a way that will be a credit to the Western Jockey Club. Besides when Mr. Lucas went before that body in December-he outlined a system of reorganization practicalb? as above." St. Lome Republic.
