Mrs. Frank Foster is in rare form, revelled in the going and was easily the best, ran under restraint in the first part of the race, went to the front in the stretch when called on and was only cantering at the end. Illyria is a game colt and stood a long stretch drive resolutely. Tugai Bey began slowly and made up ground, but tired when he got to the leaders. Honolulu was a keen contender for nearly five furlongs, then quit badly. True Blue displayed early speed, but quit after going a half and runs best on a dry track. Adel Trebla and Pleasant Memories had the race between them all the way, and. at the end it was a case of, jockey Lewis being unable to cope with Redfern. They came near racing each other into defeat, for both were tiring at the end. Reverberate was slowly gaining under the whip and would have won in another hundred yards. She began slowly, but stood pressure through the entire distance and made up ground in the final furlong. Mica, very high in flesh, was slow at the barrier, was beaten before a furlong had been run and was eased up at the end. Scratched 380002Petunia, 114; 38055 Hoof beat, 109. No show betting.
