HAWTHORNE HANDICAP ELIGIBLES. Twenty-seven of the original nominations to the Hawthorne Handicap have been de- dared out, leaving seventy-two acceptances of the weights assigned on March 2d, all of , which will remain eligible to start up to within forty-five minutes of post time on Saturday, May 23, the opening day of the ! spring meeting at Hawthorne.
