MR. WHITNEYS STABLE. If there is any virtue in good wishes, Mr. William C. Whitney should begin this season with an absence of the ill luck that has followed his string of thorougbreds for the past three years. There is not a turfman in the country who is not hoping that the persistent bad fortune will desert Mr. Whitney and allow him to reap the reward which his consistent efforts for the upbuilding of the sport merit.
