Corbett into submission in the first half mile and then came away easily, winning as his rider pleased. James J. Corbett was under a hard drive all through the last eighth. John J. Regan finished fast making up ground in the run in. John A. Clarke was probably a little short and can be relied on to do better. He made up some ground in the last quarter. Tayon, off in his stride, tiptoed the field all the way, winning as his rider pleased. Cornwall came with a xush at the end and finished stoutly. He was cut badly on the left front foot. Doeskin tired when the pinch came, but ran a good race at that. Mi Reina began slowly, but made up ground fast in the final quarter. Our Bessie showed speed. Miss Manners ran a dull i-ace and can do better. Optional ran away twice, a half mile each time to false starts. This spoiled her chances and she was given an easy race. Limelight made up ground and Came with a rush at the end. Branch tired badly just after turning for home. Radford was unlucky and showed improvement. Foxflyer showed some early speed.
