Fugurtha was lucky and ran a good race under a novice rider, finishing fast and with great gameness. Miss Guido ran a good race, but was used up in making the pace and was tiring at the end. Lelia Barr should have at least been second. She was cut off on the stretch turn and came fast through the stretch. Mike Strauss finished fast. Miss Aubrey tired at the end. She got away poorly, but Wilson rushed her into a good position and then waited on Hie Away and Zirl and put up a strong finish. Hie Away showed the most early speed, but was dying away at the end. Zirl did her best and had no mishaps. Parnassus showed some early speed. Dr. Hart got off poorly and received an easy ride. Crime had a rough trip.
