Mary Glenn was crowded back at the start, but went around the leaders at the turn into . the backstretch, raced Mint Bed into submission in the first half, took the lead quickly and was under restraint at the end. Flying Ship got into a jam at the first turn and Booker had to pull up to keep her from going down. She ran well afterwards, but tired in the last furlong and was probably a bit short. Mint Bed got the best of the start, but was not ready to go a mile. The others were always outrun. Overweights — Flying Ship, 5 pounds; Golden Glitter, 1; Rheta, 2. . Mary Glenn, show, out. "McAuliffe rode the latter all over the course, but he finished fast and would have won in another stride. King Galong was well ridden and had no mishaps. Pat My Boy tired after showing much speed and probably, needed this race. Falella should improve over this race. Pretty Rosie fell at the fifth jump. Overweghts — Dr. No win, 1 pound.
