Winner — B. c, by Mirthful — Belle Hoyt trained by P. Dunne. Went to post at 3:35. At post 3 minutes. Start bad. Won driving; second easily. Glassful was well ridden. Helgesen got him off well in motion, took him back while rounding the far turn, came again in the stretch run and slipped up on the inside of Senor and outgamed the latter in a sharp drive. Senor was badly ridden, was all but left at the post and was used too much in going to the front in the first quarter. Williams got careless in the last sixteenth and would have won had he gone on about his business. Rococo ran well and was easily the best of the others. Brookston tired and quit.
