Won driving; second the same. back at the start and had to all around Flora Bright ran a good race. She was crowded go her field to get up, closed a big gap and was going away at the finish. Lovable was well ridden and had no mishaps and tired when challenged. Kilmorie made up ground, but tired as if short. Tom Kingsley was used too much in going to the front in the first quarter and failed to stay. Little Corker got caught in a jam at the start and was crowded back. Ilmarinen was well handled and rated along for the first half, then came through on the inside at the turn into the homestretch and finished fast. Kentucky Cardinal was off all tangled up and was crowded back at the start, but closed a big gap and finished going fast after going all around his field to get up. Gloria Mundi finished well. Phil Esher showed early speed but was swerving all over the track in the stretch run. He is thick winded. Scratched— 38913 Captain Duckado,, 106; 38934=Senor. 105; 3SS88 Wine Sap, 100. Phelan ran in much improved form and finished gamely. Prince Rupert showed much early speed, but-tired • in the last eighth. Pontchartrain had no mishaps and was off running. Harry New was well ridden. Booker nursed him along in the early stages and never made a move until in the last quarter, where he caught Uledi tiring, but was driving to the limit at the end to stall off Red Comyn. The latter finished very fast and Avas gaining at every stride and would have beaten Harry New in a few more feet. John McGurk was also gaining fast. Uledi showed much early speed, but was used up in setting the pace, tired and is not yet entirely fit. Fonsoluca ran a good race and Florizar a bad one. Harry New, show, 2 to 5.
