Ogawai was under a hard drive all through the last furlong and got away all tangled up. Laura Ireland swerved across the track in the last sixteenth. Sinner Simon ran the best race he has shown this spring, laid in behind Travers for the first six furlongs, took command easily in the stretch run and was going away at the end. Travers showed the most early speed and hung on longer than usual. Gold Bell outgamed Olefiant in the final drive. Helgesen had the latter on the extreme outside in the run down the backstretch. TheHatter ran into the winner in the last ten yards and Romanelli had to stop riding to pull him off. Requisite was as good as left, but closed a big gap and finished fast. Raven Roost closed a big gap in the last .furlong, but she never got to running well until the race was over. Flying Girl ran a bad-looking race. Throw out this performance. She can do better.
