Moulin Rouge broke behind her field, displayed tremendous speed, maintained it well and won going away. She is a very fast filly. Falcons Pearl ran a good race and finished going faster than the winner. Ingolthrift displayed high speed, but tired. Turrando ran in improved form. Won driving; second the same Maltster was off slowly, but made a fast move around the stretch turn and had the leaders safe when an eighth out. From that point to the wire Higgins was content to hold this advantage and could have won farther off. Frank Bell ran a good race and finished with unusual courage. Scorpio showed great early speed, but tired at the end Bridge ran a good race throughout and might have won had he not been cut off in the stretch Shillinfr had to pull up and come outside and yas rapidly overhauling the leaders at the end Hiloe was going well when he was sharply taken up on the far turn and allowed to canter in Maltster, show, 2 to 5. Won driving; second easily Our Lady showed much improvement, was well ridden and stood a stretch drive framelv Dr. Clark was- well ridden and seemed to have the race won when an eighth away but tired in the final sixteenth. Impetuous closed up much ground and was going well at the end under a weak ride. Tenny Belle tired In the last half. Booker took Welleslev back on every turn as if fearful of a repetition of his recent accident. The horse made un irround fast each time he was called on.
