THE TICHENOR SALE. The dispersal sale of M. H. Tichenor and Jo.s stable in the paddock at "Washington sark yesterday was attended by a large ;rowd and the prices obtained for the dif-erent horses were really big, and in some ases In excess of the sums shrewd horse-nen expected them to bring. The bidding n Fo Bob, the star of the sale, was not ery spirited, only four bids being made in 11 on him before he was sold. The opening ►id on him was ,000, made by S. S. Brown. 2; "Ri Ellison immediately raised this to 18,000 and a person representing an eastern table to 2,000. The next bid, 3,000, was tade. by E. Tipton. After the colt had been andid,lt was announced that M. H. Tichenor ltd been the purchaser. Waswift, s Elsie L., and Sidney C. Love feme In tor spirited bidding, bookmaker E. i. Stutte outlasting his competitors, secured them all. Other bookmakers to make frequent bids and become purchasers were Joe Ullman and J. C. Yeager.
