Kittie G. showed improvement in speed, maintained it well and had enough left to stall off Dr. Clarks determined challenge at the end. Dr. Clark closed up fast through the stretch, but tired at the end. Northern Spy was given a bad ride. He was going well in the stretch when Dr. Clark fouled him badly and threw him off his stride. He would probably have won with an even break. Also Ran II. went well. Tenny Belle quit in the stretch after an early display of speed. Scratched — 10093 Lord Neville, 107. Helen Print was pinched off at the start and could never get up. Edgardo was kicked at the post by Jordan. He went well for a half, then tired. 1 Scratched — 40292 Jack Young, 102.
