Won handily; second driving, immy Hill wore down the leaders on the far turn, took command in the last furlong and on going away. "Veneer and Emma C. L. fought it out for second place all the last six-eenth and the former proved the gamer. Emma C. L. tired at the end. Percy R. showed speed, but tired at the finish. Solon Shingle liked the going and showed the most early speed. He was tiring at the end and had to be hard ridden. T. G. Flora Willoughby caught Hopedale tiring in the stretch and came away in a canter. Hope-dale was made too much use of in the first six furlongs and was fairly staggering at the end. Prosador was also tiring at the end and barely saved third place. All Souls was outrun in the first part of the race and did not get to going well until in the last furlong. The latter was pinched off at the start and had to go all around his field and but for the mishap he would have won. Little Boy finished fast. BInehelio was well handled, Minder riding a waiting race. He wore down The Bronze Demon and Dusky Secret on the far turn and had clear sailing in the stretch run, but had to .be shaken up at the end to stall off Branch. The latter finished very fast and was catching the winner at the end. The Bronze Demon tired after showing much earlv sneed. Snare quit after going six furlongs. Scratched — 102222G. W.
