Won driving; second easily. Clifton Forge was at his best, showed high speed throughout and withstood Don Domos determined challenge in the final sixteneth gamely under vigorous urging. The latter finished resolutely but was not quite good enough. He was probably a little short and the race should put him on edge. Prince Silverwings easily outstayed J. P. Charley Thomposn finished resolutely and was much the best of the others. Potheen made up ground fast on the far turn, but tired slightly in the closing strides. Benckart was thoroughly beaten when a furlong out. Whiskey King ran well for six furlongs. Ethylene ran a dull race tiring badly In the final eighth.
