STABLE ROOM IS AT A PREMIUM. Sau Francisco, Cal., January 8. Stable room Is at a premium at Oakland. Shipments from Ascot Park are becoming more numerous. There are two reasons for the exodus from the southern track. The schedule of dates for the local season embraces seven weeks more than that at Los Angeles and. the crusade against racing at Ascot Park seems to be gaining foreboding strength. The first ladies day of the season at Crescent Park will be January 3. J. M. Murphy, the western bookmaker; is making an extended trip through Europe.
